Stand Tall

It’s amazing what a little improvement in your posture can do for you.

This piece is pretty tall. Not as tall as an actual giraffe but the name seems fitting for being my tallest piece yet.

I love how tall giraffes are. They don’t care that they’re the tallest creatures on earth. They are unapologetic about their height. You don’t find them slouching or cowering to make themselves seem smaller so they can fit in. No, they stand out.

I strive to have the same confidence as a giraffe. Often times I find myself slouching over the computer or over my paintings and it’s hard to break out of that habit. It’s not only bad for my posture but doesn’t give me any confidence in myself outside my home. I often cower in social settings and try not to draw attention to myself. But by standing tall, with my shoulders back and my head held high, I feel way more confident and assurance in myself. I not only stand out but I stand above, and I feel stronger because of it.

So I hope this piece brings out the confidence in you. Be like a giraffe, hold your head high, and stand tall because you are mighty. You are beautiful. And you deserve to stand out and shine above all.
