About the Artwork

This piece is dedicated to all the moms.

Growing up in my house, I felt like my mom was the protector of the household. She can be an intimidating woman. As fierce as she is though, she inspires me and empowers me to be the best version of myself. She has taught me how to be confident, how to be bold, and how to be strong even in the face of failure. I like to think I get my ambition and strength from her.

My mom, along with all the other powerful moms out there, was the inspiration behind this piece. This lion’s mother may look fierce and protective of her cub, but in the eyes of the cub, this lioness is his role model. He looks up to her as she continues to protect him, inspire him, and empower him.

Speaking as a cub, we treasure our moms more than they know. This is more than just a painting of lions, this is a gift of appreciation for all the moms who continue to do their best for us.
